Artist's Journal

The Artist´s Journal is an insight into jacquie´s photographic life. To quote an article she once read by the renowned contemporary landscape photographic artist Galen Rowell, “Camera down, I gaze in awe at scenery.....trek....and meditate... . It all touches me deeply—but I can´t touch, I can´t collaborate, I can't control... ”

Even though he was speaking of telephoto landscape photography, the words, the meaning, burn deep into what the art is about for me.

“...found at the confluence of control and serendipity. And what about the ingredient of serendipity? Perhaps serendipity is born of obsession.”

Images appearing in the Artist´s Journal page are available for purchase. From time to time some of these images will be retired but the stories linger on as fond memories that jacquie would still like to share with you.
