Pet Portraiture

Whether your pet is award winning in the ring or the field or just wins
your heart with every look, we can capture and create a loving keepsake
for you.
jrmac IMAGES will schedule a private photo shoot, in a natural-outdoor-setting with your pet, then lovingly transform the image of your choice into an heirloom Illusions for you.
Pet portraiture work lends itself to candid images taken in a comfortable favorite place for the pet—your own lawn, a park or lake or field. The greatest care is taken at all times with the pet...and the owners!
Consultation of location, pet demeanor, favorite toys and a get acquainted session are free of charge.
Two rolls of film will be shot along with some digital images. Once developed jacquie will share with the client the proofs and discuss the image options.
The cost for the two-roll plus digital image session is $75, enlargements and extra (multiple) prints are extra. If no satisfactory proof is obtained a second session will take place at no charge.
Enlargements prices are based on image size, but average $75 for an Illusions printed on 13x19 papers. jacquie´s trademark portrait Illusions are printed on watercolor, fine art rag, canvas or other art papers.
Illusions portraiture work can also be created with an image you may already have. jacquie offers a free 1st hour consultation and beginning prep work on these Illusions. The Illusions price is based on image size.
Restoration: jacquie will discuss with you if there is extensive image clean up to do, if this can be done, the cost is an additional $20 per hour.
All work is delivered unmatted and unframed, thus allowing you to choose what not only matches the Illusions, but what matches your interior decorations.

A few years back jacquie read a short vignette in an Orvis catalog; it immediately tugged at her heart—being an owner of two Labrador Retriever male siblings and having owned several dogs throughout her life—she related wholeheartedly to the story.
Paul Fersen and Orvis graciously gave her permission to use the story on her website and in her studio. We hope all of you will enjoy this story too.
“DOGS IN OUR LIVES”
“We aren't house-proud. If we were, we wouldn´t
abide the scratches on the door frame, the holes in the screen, the darkened
shine of worn spots on the chair. We would wince at the mottled carpet
and fret at the hair clinging to our cloths.
We don´t. If anything, we lovers of dogs are a
tolerant lot, finding greater value in the unabashed affection of our
friends than in immaculate sofas. Shoes can be replaced, but heroic retrievers
are timeless.
Without dogs, our homes are cold receptacles for
things. Dogs make a fine warmer with their curled presence. They wake
us, greet us, protect us, and ultimately carve a place in our hearts and
history. On reflection, our lives are often referenced in parts defined
by the all-too-short lives of our dogs.”
